Well hello! I honestly do not know why I'm blogging right now. I've been long gone. I know. I just think that maybe I was too, and when I mean "too", believe it, lazy. I also hadn't got any topics to discuss, since my life has been quite stable, or boring I suppose.
But hey! I am currently in Kochi, Japan. My school decided to make a 2-months-studying-in-japan program, and so yes I am here! More precisely, the school is called Meitoku Gijuku High School. There are me and another five who went, which are all my classmates and we're all girls. GIRLS POWER! cx
UM, I arrived on 15th, after 8 hours and 30 minutes of flight from Medan > Singapore > Osaka > Kochi. NOT to mention the transit, which costs time too. Anyway the school is so much different from the ones that are in Medan, so it is a completely new experience. It is really fun yet really challenging at the same time. The first few days, it's just kind of hard adapting, what with the not-so-spacious-bedroom in which 4 people sleep in, the strict schedule and ceremonies plus the showering in which you have to take a bath with everyone else. YES. EVERYONE. All girls, ofc, and there's private stalls too, but no doors, unfortunately, lol.
Anw, the 6 of us live in the girl's dormitory (the smaller one), which is literally a hill -kind of exaggerating- higher than the school and it takes about 10 minutes walking from one place to another. AAAANDD also it kills lots of energy since we have to climb what the 6 of us call "the killer slope". It is undeniably tough. I bet I'll be gaining muscles and HOPEFULLY *finger crossed* be LEANER by staying here. (though I'm not so sure bcs the vending machine is extremely tempting xc)
So, each one of us sleep in a different bedroom. There are 3 floors with 3 rooms each, and we are on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I'm on the highest floor, also the farthest. I have Korean, Japanese-Filipino, and Thai roommates. They're all really nice though. I suck at Japanese and so we communicate using English. Also, most of the foreign students here are Chinese, which makes Chinese a crucial language too. SO basically, I'm polishing my foreign languages here.
Um anyway the weather here is so much colder than Medan, since it's now fall. The air are also really clean, no pollution whatsoever, especially that my school is located on top of a hill. It is just all nature here. Trees everywhere! In fact it is just a few feet away from me right now in the study room. Yes, I love nature. OH not to forget the SEA. All the way from Kochi city to my school, it's all sea. Indigo colored, garnished with jagged dark rocks and graceful birds with large wings. It was extremely breath-taking.
The food here are okay, sometimes good even, although some are just not my type. I kind of eat everything though, which is why I'm a survivor, lol. There are always 2 options to choose from, A or B (except breakfast). Breakfast is at 07.15 after morning assembly (weekdays) - basically jogging from dorm to school, exercises, and flag ceremony - and on weekends its at 8.15. Lunch = 12.15, and Dinner = 17.30.
There are a LOTS of vending machines here. Oh yes. And as what I've said, very tempting indeed. There are drinks, breads, cup noodles, snacks, soup even, and of course, ice cream! The price varies starting from 90円 = Rp. 9,000. Not bad, eh? I am though, resisting the urge to buy every time I ran into one. God help me.
OH and today I got my phone back, which is why I am posting right now, because without my phone, I got no pictures, see?
HERE goes.

ALSO today, we had a tea ceremony with kimono on! And in case you're wondering, it was held in the school area, which is lemme tell you, large.
By the way, it was such a great and pleasant experience :}
The people were so friendly! Also, I got to make my own green tea <3
I met this australian named Holly and she helped us tremendously with the translation, since my Japanese skill sucks. e hem.
Okay, so here it goes!

SNACKS before the ceremony. It actually depends on the season, whereas now it's fall, so it's shaped like a maple leaf. kawaii, right? *cute P.S. It's some kind of mochi with red bean filling |

The decoration inside the room where the traditional tea ceremony was held. It also matches the season fall. |
